Colle Bereto’s history which dates back to the 11th century, transformed to new life in the 1970’s, today finds its origins in simple and authentic values of love for the family and for the territory. Located in the heart of Radda in Chianti it is a magical place that has succeeded over thirty years to fascinate the Pinzauti family who chose it as the ideal place to start their wine adventure. Only manual work and respect for nature and certified organic farming methods are used. For a good wine three things are indispensable: a good season, good soil, and someone who, with passion, manages to treat everything in an exceptional way, both at the vineyard level and in the cellar. -
From a single vineyard that has always produced the most elegant of Sangiovese, unique wines of complexity and persistence due to the vineyards magnificent exposure, and extraordinary soil (Galestro), which always produces very mature tannins . This is a big wine with beautiful amounts of cherry and black fruit and well integrated oak in the aroma, as well as earthy tones of mushroom and touches of thyme and sage that come out as the wine opens up. An elegant wine, with subtle oak and a more softened acidity to it. Aged 36 months in large oak barrels. Only 3,000 bottles produced.
