Le Filigare is the name of the hill, in San Donato in Poggio where the estate is located; The main village dates back to the 11th century. Today the estate is owned by the Cassetti Burchi family of Florence who, since the 1980s, continue to produce high quality wines with dedication and passion. The family business is led by his son Alessandro, who, since the 1990s, oversaw the renovation of the buildings and brought the wines and extra virgin olive oil to organic certification. -
This wine is a clear ruby red in color. It shows personality on the nose, with intense ripe fruity aromas of blackberry, followed by floral notes of dried violet and rose with fresh balsamic aromas. Elegant on the palate, aristocratic with velvety tannins; perfectly balanced with a harmonious and lingering, mentholated finish. An outstanding and austere wine with a big aging potential.
