- Tasting Notes
Rosso di Toscana IGT
Serve between 61 and 64 degrees. This big red goes well with creamy risotto, chicken, rabbit, meat in red sauce, stews and even curry.
Vinification: Fermentation for 10 days at controlled temperatures with punching down. Maturation in 225 liter oak barrels for 12 months and in stainless steel tanks for three months and then three months of aging in the bottle. Malolactic conversion carried out. Light filtering.
This dense and dark Montalbano red IGT is the cru wine of Fattoria Betti. Ruby red in color of a marked vitality. The aromatics are fascinating and alluring, with notes of raspberry in the forefront together with hints of undergrowth and plum jam. On the palate it is soft and powerful, with silky tannins and a marked persistence.
