Le Filigare is the name of the hill, in San Donato in Poggio where the estate is located; The main village dates back to the 11th century. Today the estate is owned by the Cassetti Burchi family of Florence who, since the 1980s, continue to produce high quality wines with dedication and passion. The family business is led by his son Alessandro, who, since the 1990s, oversaw the renovation of the buildings and brought the wines and extra virgin olive oil to organic certification.
A light pinky copper color with fine persistent bubbles “perlage”. On the nose floral and fruit aromas of wild strawberries, bread crust fragrances and citrus scents. Rich and elegant in the mouth, characterized by a pleasant fresh tension and with a long and mineral end, that perfectly express the characteristics of the Sangiovese grape. This refined and elegant sparkling wine shows itself as a french champagne, but is made on a tiny hilltop in Chianti Classico and gives every impression of being a world class wine. Hand made, limited production
