In the 19th century in the beautiful Masseria Cuturi a piece of fertile land near the Ionian Sea, the first Primitivo root cuttings were planted. A noble variety begins its history.
Who is Tumà? Their Primitivo is dedicated to Don Tommaso Schiavoni, a nobleman who was the first to plant Primitivo cuttings in Manduria, right in the Conca d'Oro of Masseria Cuturi. -
This Primitivo Salento is a deep ruby red color with light ruby rims. Fragrant and fruity aromas of red fruits, blueberry and hints of sweet spice, and hints of mediterranean scrub. The palate is rich ad full with round velvety and persistent flavor, smooth and elegant tannins, dark fruity notes and sweet licorice. The finish is fresh and juicy.
This wine pairs well with savory dishes. Braised and roasted meats, semi-aged cheeses, spicy and herb seasoned foods. Serve at 60-64 degrees
