Le Filigare is the name of the hill, in San Donato in Poggio where the estate is located; The main village dates back to the 11th century. Today the estate is owned by the Cassetti Burchi family of Florence who, since the 1980s, continue to produce high quality wines with dedication and passion. The family business is led by his son Alessandro, who, since the 1990s, oversaw the renovation of the buildings and brought the wines and extra virgin olive oil to organic certification.
An intense ruby red color, with an intensity repeated on the nose of black cherry, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry intertwined with notes of dried flowers, forest floor, and followed by spicy references of cinnamon, cocoa, tobacco and licorice, and mint. It is decisive on the palate, a sip of great pleasure, soft, full bodied, supported by tannins of exquisite workmanship and a freshness that makes it fluid. An excellent final persistence to a dry elegant drink.
